Ready for the next Cluj.PM event? It's our 4th anniversary, we're all grown up & badass now. Mark the date for Perl & see you at our usual meetup place, City Plaza Hotel Cluj Napoca!
This time, we decided to change the format just a tad, so talk slots will be 5, 15 & 30 minutes and we also introduced the BATTLEDECKS. It’s gonna be so much fun!
Check out agenda, speakers, battledeck contestants, and if you like what you see, RSVP to secure your seat.
Until we meet, happy coding!
We'll seamlessly bind Guile Scheme into Perl 6 with the NativeCall foreign-function interface and creating a Slang that lets us write 'scheme-sub foo ($x) (+ x 1)' alongside other Perl 6 functions.Jeff Goff
Will address the issues:
- why testing makes sense even from the perspective of management
- why adopting TDD is met with fierce resistance and regarded as a waste of time
- how to ease into using testing productively even in early stages of development
- how to ease into using testing productively with Perl
ref($ref) eq $ref_type" is a very common idiom but inexact. Instead, I wrote some functions in XS to do it accurately. What? XS? How? Let me show you.
Probably worse, though... I implemented using optional opcodes!
A minimalist web framework using the Perl 6 equivalent of Plack, it lets you develop dynamic websites with little more than 'is handler' to define your dynamic routes and a call to 'prance()' to start the webserver rolling. We'll start with a minimal Prancer application, and build our way out to a full RESTful web application with database interaction and session management.Jeff Goff
Tired of arguing and bikeshedding over how your REST API's JSON structures should be formatted? come to my talk and I'll show you how to solve the problem.Mickey
